The Sirloin House
We know it’s a bit of a drive, about 80 minutes from Asheboro, but folks tell us it’s worth it for our steaks and homestyle cooking.
We've got folks who travel all the way from Asheboro, past the NC Zoo and through Uwharrie country, to pull up a chair at The Sirloin House. It’s a good little trip, and we're always glad to see new faces and welcome back old friends. Maybe you're looking for a change of pace from your usual spots, or perhaps you've heard tell about our hand-cut steaks, cooked just right on the flat top, or our generous daily lunch buffet that changes every single day. We've been serving up Southern cooking in Eden since 2001, and there's a reason folks keep making that drive. You won’t find anything fancy here, just good food made with care, like your grandma might have fixed. So, if you're thinking about a visit, let me tell you a bit more about what you can expect when you get here.
The kitchen, midweek

When you walk through our doors, you’ll find a welcoming, comfortable space. It's nothing fancy, just a clean, well-lit dining room with plenty of booths and tables. You'll hear the friendly hum of folks chatting, the clatter of plates, and the comforting smells of home cooking. Our buffet line is usually bustling, especially at lunchtime, but it moves along quick. In the mornings, you'll see a lot of local folks catching up over coffee and breakfast. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, feel at home, and just enjoy a good meal without any fuss.
Breakfast buffet
Getting to us from Asheboro is pretty straightforward. You'll head north on US-220, which merges with US-64 for a spell. Just keep going north, and it's mostly highway driving. You’ll pass through some pretty countryside, and before you know it, you'll be in Eden. We're at 207 S Van Buren Rd, easy to find once you're in town. Most folks from Asheboro come up for our lunch buffet, which starts at 11 AM, or sometimes for dinner. If you're coming for breakfast on a weekend, you might beat the rush if you arrive before 9 AM; otherwise, it’s a lively crowd. The trip usually takes about 80 minutes, so plan accordingly, especially if you're aiming for a specific mealtime.
Since it’s about an 80-minute drive from Asheboro, timing your visit can make all the difference. Our breakfast buffet is served Sunday-Friday from 7 AM-11 AM, and Saturdays from 7 AM-1 PM. The lunch buffet runs Sunday-Friday from 11 AM-3 PM. We don't have a dinner buffet, but our full menu is available all day. If you prefer a quieter meal, coming a bit after the main lunch rush, say around 1:30 PM, or for an earlier dinner, usually works well. Parking is always free in our lot, and we welcome walk-ins for small tables. If you’re bringing a larger party, say eight or more, just give us a call at 336-623-7778 so we can make sure we have a table ready for you.
If you're making the trip from Asheboro, you might as well make a day of it! Eden sits at the confluence of the Smith and Dan Rivers, offering some pretty spots for a walk, like Freedom Park right on the riverbank. Our town has a rich history, formed in 1967 when Leaksville, Spray, and Draper merged, so you'll see old mill town architecture and historic districts that tell a story. It's a nice place to stretch your legs before or after a good meal. You could take a drive through the historic areas, maybe stop by the local shops, or just enjoy the quiet charm of a small Southern town before heading back down US-220.
Homemade cobbler

We'll have a table waiting, and maybe even a slice of fresh-baked cobbler with your name on it. See y'all soon!
