Why folks make the drive

Worth the trip from Greensboro.

From over near UNCG or after a game at the Greensboro Coliseum, a lot of folks make the easy drive up US-29 to see us. It’s a straight shot, and before you know it, you're here in Eden. We hear it all the time: "Y'all have the best fried chicken!" or "Can't get a steak like this anywhere else." We're not fancy, but we cook good, honest food, the way we've been doing it since 2001. We cut our steaks by hand, bake our cobblers before the sun comes up, and keep the coffee hot. Whether you're craving some of our famous Sirloin Tips, a heaping plate from our daily lunch buffet, or just want a taste of a real Southern diner, we've got a spot for you. Come on up and see why so many of your Greensboro neighbors make the trip.

Make a half-day of it

What else to see in Eden.

Making the drive up from Greensboro means you're already in Eden, and there's a little more to see if you've got the time. Eden sits right where the Smith River meets the Dan River, so there are some pretty spots for a walk at Freedom Park or a little fishing. Our town has a rich history, formed by the merger of Leaksville, Spray, and Draper, and you can still feel that old mill town character. Take a drive around to see some of the historic textile mills or just enjoy the quieter pace. It’s a nice change of scenery after your meal, perfect for making a half-day trip out of your visit.
