The kitchen, midweek

When you walk into The Sirloin House, you'll feel that easy, Southern welcome right away. The dining room has comfortable booths and tables, usually buzzing with friendly chatter. During lunch, you'll see folks lining up for the buffet, catching up with neighbors while they fill their plates. Mornings have that warm, coffee-and-bacon smell, and evenings are a bit calmer, perfect for a family dinner. It's not fancy, but it's always clean, comfortable, and feels like home. You'll hear the clatter of plates and the friendly shouts from the kitchen – just good, honest diner sounds.

You could take a stroll along the Smith River or the Dan River, which are beautiful for a walk or just sitting by the water. Freedom Park is a nice place for kids to burn off some energy. Eden itself has a rich history, formed by the merger of three mill towns – Leaksville, Spray, and Draper – back in 1967. You can still see a lot of that historic mill town character in the architecture and older parts of town. It’s a nice way to experience a bit more of Rockingham County while you’re here.
