The Sirloin House
It's not a far drive at all from Roxboro, just about 50 minutes, and we'd be so glad to see you. Come on over for our famous hand-cut steaks, a hearty buffet, or some fresh fried chicken.
Well now, if you're coming over from Roxboro, maybe after a morning out by Hyco Lake or running errands around Person County, we reckon you've got a hankering for some good, honest Southern food. Folks tell us that even with the drive, there's just something about our kitchen that brings 'em back. Maybe it's the smell of those hand-cut sirloin steaks hitting the flat top, or knowing the peach cobbler was pulled from the oven before the sun even thought about coming up. We’ve been serving up meals here in Eden since 2001, and we’re proud to be a place where families gather, friends catch up, and nobody leaves hungry. We hear from folks who say they don't mind the NC-700 because they know what's waiting for them when they get here. Let us tell you a little more about what makes the trip worthwhile.
The kitchen, midweek

When you walk through our doors, you’ll find a dining room that feels like home. You'll see folks settled into comfortable booths and tables, maybe a line forming for the lunch buffet with its daily changing offerings. In the mornings, there’s the clinking of coffee cups and the happy chatter of the breakfast crowd. It’s got that friendly hum of a place where everyone feels welcome, where the air smells of good cooking, and you can just relax and enjoy your meal without any fuss. We're proud to be a spot where folks can just be themselves.

Getting to us from Roxboro is a pretty straightforward drive, about 50 minutes or so. You'll mostly take NC-700 West, which turns into US-158 West as you get closer to Eden. It's a pleasant drive through some of our beautiful Piedmont countryside. You'll pass through spots like Ruffin and Reidsville before hitting Eden. Keep an eye out for our familiar sign at 207 S Van Buren Rd once you're in town. Most of our Roxboro friends tend to come for the lunch buffet, usually around noon, or they'll plan a leisurely Saturday breakfast. If you're coming for breakfast, the early rush usually thins out by 9:30 AM, giving you a bit more breathing room.
Considering the 50-minute drive from Roxboro, timing your visit can make it even better. Our breakfast buffet runs Sunday through Friday from 7 AM to 11 AM, and on Saturdays from 7 AM to 1 PM. The daily lunch buffet is served Sunday through Friday from 11 AM to 3 PM. We don't offer a dinner buffet, but our full menu is available for dinner. Parking is always free in our lot, and while we welcome walk-ins for smaller tables, if you're bringing a larger party (say, eight or more folks), it’s a good idea to call ahead at 336-623-7778 so we can have a spot ready for you.
If you're making the trip from Roxboro, Eden's got a few things worth sticking around for after your meal. We're lucky to be where the Smith River meets the Dan River, offering some lovely spots for a walk or to just sit by the water. Freedom Park is a nice place to stretch your legs, too. Eden itself has a rich history, formed in 1967 by the merger of three old mill towns: Leaksville, Spray, and Draper. You can still see a lot of that historic mill town character in some of our buildings. It's a nice way to round out a half-day trip, getting a taste of our local history and natural beauty before heading back towards Roxboro.
