The Sirloin House
It's about a 60-minute trip from Winston-Salem up to Eden, and we'd love to have you. You'll find good folks, real food, and a warm plate waiting.
If you've spent the morning at Old Salem, taken in a game at BB&T Ballpark, or are just looking for a change of pace from your usual spots in Winston-Salem, we're glad you're thinking of making the short drive north. Folks from all over come to The Sirloin House because we've been doing things the same way since 2001: fresh, from scratch, and with a whole lot of heart. We're known for our hand-cut steaks, cooked up hot on the flat top, and our daily buffets are a real draw – especially our breakfast spread with all the fixings. It's a taste of home cooking that's worth the trip, a place where you can relax and feel like part of the family. We've heard many a time that people come up for a specific dish they just can't get anywhere else, like our Sirloin Tips. So, let's talk about that drive and what you can expect when you get here.
The kitchen, midweek

When you walk through our doors, you'll step into a place that feels familiar, like your grandma's house on a Sunday. The smell of fresh coffee and home cooking fills the air. You'll hear the friendly chatter of folks catching up, the clinking of plates, and maybe some gospel music playing softly in the background. Our dining room is set up with comfortable booths and tables, ready for families, friends, or just a quiet meal by yourself. The buffet line is usually humming, especially at lunch, with folks eyeing up the daily specials. It's a bright, clean space where you can truly relax and enjoy your meal, without any fuss or pretense.

Considering the hour's drive from Winston-Salem, timing your visit can make all the difference. Our breakfast buffet runs Sunday-Friday from 7-11 AM and Saturday from 7 AM-1 PM, making it a great option for a weekend morning drive. The lunch buffet is popular, served Sunday-Friday from 11 AM-3 PM. We don't have a dinner buffet, but our full menu is available during dinner hours. If you're looking to avoid the biggest crowds, coming after 1 PM for lunch or a bit later in the evening for dinner usually means a quieter dining room. If you're making the drive from Winston-Salem, Eden's got a few things worth sticking around for after your meal. We're where the Smith River and the Dan River meet, so there are some pretty walking trails and spots to enjoy the water. Freedom Park is a nice place for a stroll. Eden itself has a lot of history, formed by the merger of the old mill towns of Leaksville, Spray, and Draper back in '67. You can still see some of that historic mill town character, especially in the old downtown areas. It's a nice change of pace from the city, giving you a chance to see a different part of North Carolina and enjoy a peaceful afternoon before heading back home.
