The Sirloin House
We know you're busy in the Furniture Capital, but a quick trip up US-220 / I-74 brings you right to our door for some good, honest Southern cooking.
If you're making the trek from High Point, maybe after browsing showrooms or catching a concert at the High Point Theatre, you might be wondering if the drive to Eden is really worth it for a meal. Well, folks have been telling us for over two decades that it certainly is. We hear from folks who've lived in the Triad their whole lives and make the trip specifically for our hand-cut steaks, cooked just right on the flat top, or for the daily lunch buffet that always has something new and delicious. There’s a certain comfort in knowing you're headed for a place where the food's been made with care since 2001, right here in Rockingham County. We're a family place, and we hope you’ll feel right at home with us. Let’s talk about that drive and what you can expect when you get here.
The kitchen, midweek

When you walk into The Sirloin House, you’ll find a dining room that feels like home. It’s got a warm, inviting buzz, especially around lunch and dinner. You’ll see plenty of comfortable booths, families gathered, and folks catching up over a good meal. The buffet line is usually lively, with the clatter of plates and the friendly chatter of neighbors. In the mornings, there’s the quiet hum of folks enjoying their coffee and breakfast, a little slower-paced. It’s a place where you can relax, feel comfortable, and just enjoy some good food without any fuss.

Getting to us from High Point is a pretty straightforward shot, mostly along US-220 North, which turns into I-74 East for a spell. You'll head north, passing Greensboro on your way. It’s a pleasant drive, about 50 miles, taking roughly 70 minutes depending on how many tractor-trailers are out on the road. You’ll take Exit 110 for NC-135 North toward Stoneville/Eden. Once you're on NC-135, just keep going until you see the signs for Eden. Our place, The Sirloin House, is right on S Van Buren Rd, easy to spot once you get into town. Most folks from High Point time it for our lunch buffet, arriving around noon, but if you're looking to avoid the bigger crowds, coming for a late breakfast around 9:30 AM or a slightly later lunch after 1:30 PM usually works out nicely.
Considering the 70-minute drive from High Point, timing your visit can make all the difference. Our breakfast buffet runs Sunday through Friday from 7 AM to 11 AM, and on Saturdays until 1 PM. The lunch buffet is a popular draw, served Sunday through Friday from 11 AM to 3 PM. We don't have a dinner buffet, but our full menu is available all evening. If you're coming for lunch, arriving a little after 1 PM helps avoid the midday rush. Parking is free and plentiful right at the building, and walk-ins are always welcome for small tables. If you're planning a visit with a larger group, say eight or more, it’s a good idea to give us a call at 336-623-7778 just so we can be ready for you.
While you're making the trip from High Point to Eden, why not make a half-day of it? Eden itself has a lot of natural beauty and history to explore. You could spend some time along the scenic Smith River or the larger Dan River, both great for fishing or just enjoying the quiet. Freedom Park is a lovely spot for a picnic or a stroll. Eden has a rich past, formed by the merger of the mill towns of Leaksville, Spray, and Draper in 1967, and you can still feel that historic character when you drive through. It’s a nice change of pace from the hustle of the city, offering a glimpse into a quieter, historic North Carolina town after you’ve enjoyed your meal with us.
