The Sirloin House
Just about 110 minutes down US-29 from Lynchburg, you'll find The Sirloin House, where folks come for good food and friendly faces.
If you're heading south from Lynchburg, maybe after visiting Liberty University or taking in the Blue Ridge foothills, you might find yourself hankering for a real, honest-to-goodness meal. That's why so many of our neighbors from up your way make the drive down to Eden. We've been serving up Southern comfort and classic steakhouse plates since 2001, and we've gotten pretty good at it. Folks come for our hand-cut steaks, cooked just right on the flat top, or maybe for the daily lunch buffet that changes every day. It's the kind of place where you feel at home, even if you've driven a little bit to get here. We think it's worth the trip for a taste of what we do best. Let's talk about that drive and what's waiting for you.
The kitchen, midweek

When you walk into The Sirloin House, you'll find a welcoming, comfortable space. We've got plenty of booths and tables, usually with a lively hum of conversation. In the mornings, especially on weekends, you might hear the clatter of plates and the friendly chatter of folks enjoying breakfast. At lunch, the buffet line moves steadily, filled with the aroma of home cooking. It's not fancy, but it's clean and cozy, the kind of place where you can relax, take your time, and just enjoy a good meal with your people. You'll see families, folks on their lunch break, and even some familiar faces from Lynchburg.
Breakfast buffet
The drive from Lynchburg is a straight shot, mostly down US-29 South. You'll pass through places like Gretna and Danville before you hit North Carolina. It's a pretty easygoing stretch of road, usually, taking about 110 minutes if traffic's moving smoothly. We often see folks from Lynchburg time their visit to hit our lunch buffet around noon, so they get here right as it's fresh and ready. Keep an eye out for the NC-14 exit as you get closer to Eden; we're just a few minutes off the main highway once you hit town. It's a good drive to catch up with family or just enjoy the scenery before settling in for a meal.
Considering the 110-minute drive from Lynchburg, many folks aim for our lunch buffet, which runs Sunday through Friday from 11 AM to 3 PM. It’s a great value at $11.99 and lets you beat the evening traffic back home. Our breakfast buffet is popular too, available Sun-Fri 7-11 AM and Sat 7 AM-1 PM. If you're looking for a quieter meal, the breakfast crowd thins out after 9:30 AM. We don't have a dinner buffet, but our full menu is available evenings. Parking is free and right at the building, and we welcome walk-ins for smaller tables. If you're bringing a big group, say eight or more, it's a good idea to call ahead so we can have a table ready for you.
While you're down here from Lynchburg, there's more to Eden than just great food. Our town sits right where the Smith River meets the Dan River, offering some lovely spots for a stroll or to just take in the water, especially at Freedom Park. Eden itself has a neat history, formed by the merger of three mill towns – Leaksville, Spray, and Draper – back in '67. You can still feel that historic mill town character in parts of town, with some of the old brick buildings telling stories. It's a nice change of pace from the city, a chance to slow down a bit before you head back up US-29. A perfect half-day trip can include a good meal and a peek at our local charm.

We'd love for you to join us for a meal the next time you're heading this way. Come on down and see us at 207 S Van Buren Rd – we’ll have a plate ready for you.
