The Sirloin House
For folks driving down US-58 and US-501 from South Boston, it's about an hour and five minutes to find our table, where good food and friendly faces are waiting.
If you're heading south out of South Boston, past the Speedway and across the river, you know a good drive means good company and good food at the end of it. We've had plenty of folks from Halifax County make the trip down to us here in Eden over the years, and we're always happy to see a new face walk through our doors. Folks tell us it's the hand-cut steaks cooked on the flat top, or maybe our family recipe Fresh Fried Chicken, that makes the drive worthwhile. Others come for the daily lunch buffet that changes every single day, or the warm slice of peach cobbler, baked fresh at 4 a.m. We're a family place, open since 2001, and we've been serving up Southern cooking just the way we like it. So, if you're thinking about a little trip down south, let us tell you what you can expect when you come visit us.
The kitchen, midweek

When you walk into The Sirloin House, you'll feel like you've stepped into a comfortable, welcoming place. You'll hear the friendly chatter of folks catching up, the clinking of silverware, and maybe the sizzle from the kitchen. We've got plenty of booths and tables, perfect for families or a quiet meal for two. The buffet line is always bustling during lunch, with folks eyeing up what Joanna's cooked up that day. It's a place where you can relax, take your time, and enjoy a good, honest meal. We like to keep things simple and friendly here, just like you'd hope.

While you're making the trip down from South Boston, there's a few things worth seeing right here in Eden if you want to make a half-day of it. We're lucky to have both the Smith River and the Dan River right in our backyard, offering some pretty spots for a walk or just to sit by the water. Freedom Park is a nice place for the kids to stretch their legs too. Eden itself has a bit of history; it was formed back in '67 when the towns of Leaksville, Spray, and Draper all came together. You can still see some of that old mill town character in parts of town, which gives it a real grounded feel. It's a friendly place, and we think you'll find plenty to appreciate before or after your meal with us.
